The first stop is the Kittiwake ship purposely sunken to provide an artificial reef for tropical fish. The ship is 85 metres long at a depth of around 20 metres. Pretty awesome swimming over a sunken ship and there were many tropical fish and some schools of fish. There was an SAP hired photographer that we hope will provide pictures of our trip.

We both enjoyed ourselves on this snorkelling adventure. Lana struggled at first with the flippers/fins as she felt confined, but took them off and returned for both snorkelling dives. On her first trip out another adult panicked in the water and he ended up returning to the catamaran. Some scuba divers were swimming down at the bottom. Cool seeing the bubbles come to the surface from the scuba divers below.

I swam to the end of the sunken ship although got bumped on more than one occasion from fellow snorkelers who simply don't have a clue. This dive site is on Seven Mile Beach. Water temperature is perfect in my mind. We were cautioned not to wear your fins when climbing the stairs back to the catamaran.
Short trip to the second dive site and I am one of the first people in the water and the last to return to the catamaran. You know to return as they honk their boat horn 3x. Lana does much better on this snorkel dive and stays out the entire time with no problems. We do not snorkel together as I go faster and farther out. Plus, I like to dive to the bottom and check in the nooks and crannies of the reef. The bottom was around 4 metres so an easy dive for me. Lots of multi-coloured reef fish! All shapes, sizes and colours. Some super tiny fish as well. Some vivid blue colours, striped fish etc.

On returning to the catamaran it is time for mixed alcoholic drinks and peanuts, granola bars and goldfish crackers. We head back under sail. I wore a green t-shirt to ensure I did not get a sunburn while snorkelling. Lana wore a smallish top and pays the price as later she notices her shoulders and part of her back are a bit burned. It was a smooth ride and fun. Bathroom down below although flushing it was an adventure.
Upon arrival back to the resort our first priority is to locate and save a couple of beach chairs as this beach is always super busy. We shower and then head to Ferdinand's for lunch on the patio. Saw two huge lizards climbing the tall palm tree and a smaller lizard in the bushes. Lunch was good and we found our chairs and then Lana moved us closer to the beach front and some shade. She leaves to buy some Champagne for Markus and Dan as gifts of appreciation and for Club 19 recognition. Such a prairie girl.
There were fly board lessons off shore that totally captivated me. I would swim out to the swimming buoys markers and then just watch and listen. You need to keep your legs locked. Lana got into the water a couple of times by wading in with her umbrella. Yup, most people think she is probably nuts!

Funny, but when I was sitting in my chair three young boys were carrying some lemonade and offered me a glass for free. They had spent some time making the lemonade and were not wanting any money although I didn't have any money on me anyway. Lana got a text from her VP boss Dan thanking her for the Champagne. Dan and his wife Rebecca wanted to meet us to share the Champagne at the Happy Hour poolside location. Unfortunately, they never showed. We watched the bingo fun. Grabbed a Chardonnay tester each. No replies to Lana's texts either.
Back to our room and then grabbed a taxi to Agua Restaurant ($14USD). SAP will pay for the taxi ride as it is an approved restaurant. This upscale place is located at Camana Bay and we decided to take a table outside right beside the water. Lots of outdoor tables with good views of the harbour. Yachts at birth and palm trees in the small island off shore. As we received our food we were attacked by mosquitoes/biting insects! They were attacking everyone. The chemical we sprayed on ourselves made zero difference. Yikes! We fled inside to seats at the bar counter. All the tables were occupied. Our server has Canadian immigrant work visa and was talking about relocating to Kelowna and working in a winery as a sommelier. The bill was $170USD for a fantastic meal (we shared white fish fritters and the seafood appetizer platter--white fish pate, tuna truffled poke, octopus in olive oil, chilled shrimp, fresh oysters, crab claws, and an appy plate of roasted octopus); service, food quality and ambience all top notch. Returned around 8 pm via taxi. I am pretty sure we forgot to take any pictures today.
